Donald R. O’Keefe, Jr., 54, of Auburn died Sunday, March 5th in St. Vincent Hospital surrounded by his family. He leaves his wife of 28 years, Pamela J. (Cote) O’Keefe; two sons, Donald O’Keefe, III and his wife, Amanda of Worcester and Shane O’Keefe of Auburn; a daughter, Nicky O’Keefe of Auburn; his mother, Doris M. (Hertz) O’Keefe of Worcester; a brother, Ronald O’Keefe of Worcester; a sister, Susan Crawford and her husband, Walter of Worcester; two grandsons, Tyler and Max O’Keefe and many nieces and nephews.
He was born in Worcester the son of Donald R. O’Keefe, Sr. Donald worked as a printer at Mercantile Printing for 27 years. He enjoyed spending his time playing pool and darts. Mr. O’Keefe was a handy man who enjoyed building things and working on cars. His favorite pastime was spending time with his grandchildren and family.
His funeral is Friday, March 10th in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, Worcester with a service at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are Thursday, March 9th from 5:00 until 7:00 PM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Donald’s name to the American Diabetes Association, 260 Cochituate Road, #200, Framingham, MA 01701.
