Cecile “Sue” T. (Salley) Prew, 79, of Worcester passed away on February 15, 2017 in the Lutheran Rehabilitation & Skilled Care Center.
She leaves her children, Nancy Jones and her husband Eric of Southbridge; Michael Prew and his wife Sungsim of Phoenix, AZ, Linda Commans and her husband Gregory of Sturbridge; Wendy Hyland of Marlborough; Jacob Prew of Worcester; Wendy Mark and her husband Christopher of Woodstock, CT, James Prew of Washington state and Ashley Prew her grandchild, of Worcester that she raised like a daughter, a sister, Rita Darling of Newberg, OR, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren and the loves of her life, her dogs Coco and Lennon. Sue was predeceased by two daughters, Terry and Katherine Prew. She was born in Woonsocket, R.I., a daughter of Elwin Salley, Sr. and Gracia (St. Cyr) Salley and has lived in Worcester for most of her life. Sue graduated from Salter Secretarial School.
Mrs. Prew was a foster parent for many years and operated a day care in her home. Sue was formerly active with the Leicester Senior Center, she loved her gardens, movies, Hampton Beach and collecting coins but most of all she loved children.
Relatives and friends are invited to a Celebration of Sue’s Life which will be held on Saturday March 11, 2017 from 9:30 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. in The Hilton Gardens Hotel, 35 Major Taylor Blvd, Worcester. DIRSA-MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 298 Grafton Street is assisting the family.
