Worcester, MA - Lorraine C. (Lambert) Morse, 82, passed away Tuesday, February 21, 2017, at Saint Vincent Hospital following an illness. She was born in Leominster, daughter of the late Margaret (Johnson) and Louis Lambert. Lorraine leaves her husband of 62 years, Howard C. Morse; her daughter and son-in-law, Allyson and Lee Tambeau of Worcester; her son, Jonathan Morse of Worcester; her sister, Linda Brooks of Worcester; and 3 grandchildren, Dana Wong and her husband Michael of Brookline, Jaymes Tambeau and his wife Rebecca of Arlington, and Melanie Morse of Worcester. She was preceded in death by a son, H. Craig Morse and siblings, Louis Lambert and Pauline Shea.
Lorraine was a member of Saint Michael's on-the-Heights Church and worked in retail at various stores in the Greendale Mall through the years. Among the many things she enjoyed were gardening (especially flowers), traveling with Howard, and reading. Lorraine had a good sense of humor and loved spending time with her family. A special thank you to the nursing staff at Saint V's for the excellent care they provided.
Calling hours will be held at Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln Street on Thursday, Feb. 23, from 2-4pm. A funeral service will be held at Nordgren Memorial Chapel on Friday, Feb. 24 at 10:00am. Lorraine will be buried in Rural Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Saint Michael's on-the-Heights, 340 Burncoat St., Worcester MA 01606.
