Worcester, Ma- Marjeta Kristo passed away and graciously entered the Kingdom of Heaven on February 18, 2017 at the age of 64.
She is survived by her son Llazi Kristo, her spouse Vasil Kristo, her parents Dhimitraq and Vasilika Lolo, her siblings Theodhor Lolo, Kaliroi Endriko, Tatiana Tanga, Adelina Sanxhaku, Thanas Lolo,Vangjush Lolo and their families; her uncle and aunt Nikolla and Natasha Zhaka, and her first cousins, Anila Gjanci, Monika Durmillari, Ornela Belishta and their families; her brother in law Koco Kristo and sister in law Gjenka Kristo of Albania, and Simon and Zana Shyta and their family.
She is remembered as the loving, sweet, mentoring, and self-sacrificing aunt to many nieces and nephews; Jorida, Julian, Rebeka, Emi, Ira, Iris, Kris, Petrika, Dhimitri, Eric, Vasja, Mikel and great nieces and great nephews: Arianna, Logan, Alex, Aleinna and Aiden.
Marjeta was born on October 2, 1952 in Albania, where she spent her youth and worked as a chemistry and biology teacher. She had a passion for learning and teaching and was a profound storyteller. She and her family immigrated to the United States of America in 1996. She was adored by all who knew her. She was a unique woman recognized for her positivity, kindness and grace. She loved life and most especially her son who was the center of her world. She has left a huge void in the hearts of all who love her and will truly be missed!!
Her funeral is Thursday, February 23rd with a service at 10:00 A.M. in St. Mary’s Assumption Albanian Orthodox Church, 545 Salisbury Street. Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery. Calling hours are Wednesday, February 22nd from 5:00 until 8:00 P.M. in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue.
