WEBSTER – David F. Sofrin, 62, died Thursday, February 2, 2017 in UMass/Memorial Healthcare, Worcester after an illness.
He leaves a sister, Pamela A. Tibbetts of Webster; a brother, John Sofrin of Worcester; a nephew, Brian Sofrin; 2 nieces, Lauren Tibbetts and Cindy Hughes; and a great-niece, Kori Hopkinson. He also leaves his dear cat Teddy.
He was born in Brighton, the son of John A. and Domenica G. “Mickey” Sofrin. He was raised in Billerica and Burlington and moved to Webster in 1976. He graduated from Cardinal Cushing School in Hanover.
Mr. Sofrin first worked in the maintenance department at Data General in Westboro for 10 years and then at Papa Gino’s in Webster for several years. Finally he was an assembler at Life Skills, Inc. for 2 years. He enjoyed watching sports, especially the New England Patriots.
Memorial calling hours will be held in Scanlon Funeral Service, 38 East Main Street from noon to 2:00 PM Thursday, February 16, with a service at 1:30 PM. Donations in his name may be made to Life Skills, Inc. Supervised Apartments, 44 Morris Street, Webster, MA 01570.
