Obituary

WORCESTER – Lawrence J. Pratte, Sr., 59, of Country Club Blvd., died unexpectedly on Friday, February 3, 2017, in his sleep at home. He is survived by three children, Heather L. Pratte of Rochdale, Lawrence J. Pratte Jr. and his wife Helena of Worcester, and Jocelyne C. Pratte of Worcester; five brothers, Martin, Joseph, Paul, Stephen, and Vincent Pratte; three sisters, Linda Salmonsen Oberg, Karen Critzer, and Denise Fahey; nine grandchildren, Abigail, Angelique, Allison, Annie, Lawrence III, Brodey, Jordan, Jayden, and Addrianna; his former wife, Cynthia A. Price of Worcester; three aunts, Theresa, Diane, and Annette; and many nephews, nieces, and cousins. He was predeceased by four brothers, Gerard, Philip, Raymond, and Richard Pratte. He was born in Worcester, son of the late Joseph and Claire (Chasse) Pratte, and was a lifelong resident of Worcester. He graduated from South High School.

Mr. Pratte worked at Wright Wire in Worcester for 30 years. He was a well-loved member of the Genesis Club and worked at the snack bar. He was an avid fan of the Boston sports teams, and will be remembered as a dedicated grandfather to his grandchildren.

Memorial calling hours are Wednesday, February 8, 2017, from 9-11 a.m. at Alfred Roy and Sons Funeral Home, 12 Hammond Street. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the conclusion of calling hours.
