Obituary

Zbigniew J. Kumor, 61, of Worcester died Saturday, January 7, 2017 in St. Vincent Hospital after a long illness. He is survived by his wife of forty years Zdzislawa (Swieszkowska) Kumor; a son Zbigniew E. Kumor and his wife Nicole of Auburn; grand-daughter, Olivia Kumor of Auburn; his mother, Wanda (Rogal) Kumor of Worcester; brother Edward Kumor, his wife Teresa and two nieces Ania, Krysia and her husband Marco and their son, all of California. He is predeceased by his father, Edward Kumor.

Born in Zlotyoryja, Poland, he immigrated to the US in 1966. He worked as a machinist for Jamesbury Manufacturing prior to his retirement. He was a member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Church. He enjoyed spending time with his family especially his grand-daughter Olivia. In his younger years, he enjoyed traveling with his wife. He also enjoyed watching the history channel, John Wayne movies, and most of all James Bond movies.

The funeral will be held on Friday, January 13, 2017 from HENRY-DIRSA FUNERAL HOME, 33 Ward St., with a Mass at 10:30 a.m., in Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 34 Ward Street. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours in the funeral home will be Thursday, January 12, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
