Obituary

SPRING HILL, FL/DUDLEY – Allison Stewart, 63, died Thursday, December 22, 2016 in Bayonet Point Regional Hospital, Hudson, FL, after a long illness.

She leaves 3 children, twins Gregory J. Boyce of Webster and Daniel S. Boyce-Leonard and his husband Ian Boyce-Leonard, all of Webster, and Carolyn J. Boyce of Pittsfield; 2 brothers, Hamilton S. “Bud” Stewart, Jr. of Sacramento, CA and Douglas Stewart of Spring Hill, FL, with whom she lived; a sister, Nancy Lopes of Southbridge; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Lee Ann Cardella, in 2013.

She was born in Worcester and raised in Webster, a daughter of the late Hamilton S. Stewart, Sr. and Doris L. (Leavens) Stewart. She graduated from Bartlett High School in 1971 and completed studies in nursing at Quinsigamond Community College in Worcester in 1985. She lived in Dudley for 7 years before moving to Spring Hill in 2000.

She was a registered nurse at the former Hubbard Regional Hospital in Webster for 15 years. She then worked at Oak Hill Hospital in Spring Hill, retiring in 2012.

She was a former member of the Church of the Reconciliation in Webster. She enjoyed reading.

A celebration of her life will be held at 11:45 AM Thursday, December 29, in the Sitkowski & Malboeuf Funeral Home, 340 School St., Webster. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM to 11:45 AM Thursday prior to the service. Donations in her name may be made to the Susan G. Komen Foundation, PO Box 650309, Dallas, TX 75265-0309.
