WORCESTER: William R. Bowler, 67, died peacefully on Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at St. Vincent Hospital, surrounded by his family.
He leaves 3 sisters, Anne S. Matson and her husband George of Merrimack, NH, Nancy M. Haig and her husband Daniel of Millbury, Karen E. Bisson and her husband Michael of Sterling; and several nieces and nephews. Another sister, Margaret A. “Peg” Bowler, predeceased him.
Billy was born and raised in Worcester, son of the late William L. and Evelyn M. (Fagerquist) Bowler. He graduated from St. Peter’s High School in Worcester and the Culinary Institute at the University of Connecticut. In his early years, Billy worked as a chef in the Worcester area and on Cape Cod.
After cremation, burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
