Obituary

Worcester – Algird D. Drumstas, 93, of Worcester, died on Sunday, November 20th in Saint Vincent Hospital after being stricken ill at home.

Al is survived by his wife of 64 years, Ethel A. (Dufault) Drumstas of Worcester; a daughter, Ellen Ladago and her fiancé, Darrell Bellotti of Grafton; a son, James J. Drumstas of Reno, NV; 3 grandchildren, Elisha, Aidan and Anna and many nephews and nieces.

Mr. Drumstas was born in Worcester, son of the late John and Stella (Aleknas) Drumstas and is also predeceased by 2 brothers, John and Joseph Drumstas and two sisters, Eleanora Drumstas and Pauline Garnevich.

Al worked for many years as a machinist at the George Meyers Manufacturing Company. He was a member of Our Lady of the Angels Church, frequently attended the Worcester Senior Center and enjoyed spending summers in York beach, Maine.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all of his family and friends at the Goddard House especially, Karen “The Boss” for the love and care that was given to Al.

Funeral services will be held privately with burial in St. John’s Cemetery. Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home 12 Hammond St. is assisting with arrangements.
