Obituary

West Boylston- Raymond J. Ferranto, 89, of West Boylston passed Away Thursday, November 17 At Umass Medical Center.

He leaves his wife of 61 Years, Betty (Deboer) Ferranto; five Children, Janet Raslavsky and her husband Jim of Harpswell, ME, Barbara Kirkpatrick and her husband, Brad of So. Portland, ME, Maria Ferrante and her Husband, Marc Andelman of Worcester, Larry Ferranto and his wife, Marcia of Ashton, MD and Cynthia Ferranto and her husband, John Welsh of Washington D.C.; 14 grandchildren, Heidi, Cassi, Jeremy, Joshua, Molly, Alissa, Jake, Jordan, Charlie, Michael, Elizabeth, Laura, Jaime And Samantha; seven great-grandchildren, Eloise, Drew, Sophia, Jack, Olivia, Caleb and Harper; two sisters, Grace Lonzo And Rose Dirado and nieces and nephews. A son, Charles Ferranto, a sister, Rosalie Gentile and a brother, Peter Ferranto predeceased him. He was born In Worcester, son of Lawrence and Grace (Dibenedetto) Ferranto. Ray enlisted in the U.S. Navy, 146 Naval Battalion stationed in Okinawa in the Pacific Theatre during WWII.

Ray was a Superintendent for Caprera Construction before retirement. He Enjoyed gardening, fishing, and crabbing. Ray loved being with his family and was loved and respected by all who knew him. He was kind, giving and a tremendous role model. His sense of humor and his devotion to his wife and family will be missed.

Visiting Hours will be Held Saturday, November 19 from 9-10am In Fay Brothers Funeral Home, 1 West Boylston Street followed by a Funeral Mass At 10:30am In St. Richard's of Chichester Church, 4 Bridge St., Sterling.
