Obituary

WEST BOYLSTON- Sharon L. (Goodmanson) Casson, 63, passed away peacefully at her home, on Thursday, November 10th following a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born in Worcester on October 5, 1953 a daughter of Robert and Barbara (Holt) Goodmanson. She was predeceased by her brother Robert A. Goodmanson Jr in 2007. She was raised in both Clinton and Worcester. She attended local schools and graduated from David Hale Fanning School of Worcester. For many years, Sharon worked at UMass Memorial Hospital in the cafeteria and greeted many faces with her beaming smile and wit. It was a job she truly loved.

Sharon was an excellent host and enjoyed cooking and entertaining relatives and friends at her home. She was quick to strike up a conversation with anyone and had a bright and colorful personality. In the summers she enjoyed having her family over for cookouts and traveling to Maine to vacation at Old Orchard Beach. She enjoyed time spent with her children and grandchildren. She also loved being outdoors. She was an avid animal lover and will leave behind her furry feline companion, Socks who she loved dearly.

She leaves behind a daughter, Jessica Casson of Worcester; a son, Michael Casson of West Boylston; Grandchildren; Alex, Malia, Jaycean, Joell and Dominic; her sister, Cynthia Brunelle and her husband Stephen of Lancaster; her Great Aunts, Margaret Notaro and Ruth Marhefka of West Boylston; nieces Laurie Frisch and her husband Paul, Heidi Laurette and her husband Charles, Paige Goodmanson; a nephew, Chad Goodmanson; Great nephews Bryan and Kyle Frisch and Ethan and Andrew Laurette; Cousins Janet and Walter Marfefka; many dear friends and coworkers.

Visiting hours for Sharon will be held on Sunday, November 13th from 1:00pm until 4:00pm in FAY BROTHERS Funeral Home, 1 West Boylston St., West Boylston. Burial will be held privately at Woodlawn Cemetery in Clinton. Memorial donations may be made in her memory to: Worcester Animal Rescue League, 139 Holden St., Worcester , MA 01608
