LEICESTER: Leonard T. Pilling, 78 of Pine St., died Thursday, Nov. 3 at Blaire House in Worcester. He leaves his wife of 58 years Janet M. (Smith) Pilling, two sons, Thomas Pilling and his wife Christine of Lakewood, Ga., Edward Pilling and his wife Rose of Spencer, two daughters, Patricia Pilling of Augusta, Ga., Christine Kilmonis and her husband David of Leicester, 13 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren.
Leonard was a longtime dairy farmer owning Pilling Farm in Spencer. After retiring, he later became a Pastor of the East Templeton United Methodist Church.
Born in Worcester, he was the son of Linwood T. and Beatrice (White) Pilling.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, Nov. 5 at 4 p.m. in the Oxford United Methodist Church, 465 Main St., Oxford. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Assoc. of Ma/NH, 480 Pleasant St., Watertown, Ma. 02472.
