WEBSTER - Vivian R. (Kuszewski) Ducharme, 85, died Friday, October 28, 2016 at home after an illness. Her husband of 42 years, Ernest W. Ducharme, died in 1990.
She leaves a daughter, Janice A. Ducharme of Thompson, CT; a son, Kevin J. Ducharme and his wife Elizabeth of New Hampshire; 4 grandchildren, Keith Ducharme of Minnesota, Jennifer Ducharme of Chicago, Julie Koenig of Boston and Krystie Jezerski. She was preceded in death by her son, Ronald Ducharme in 1981 and by her sister, June Bolduc in 2010. She also leaves her adorable aunt, Ida Mierzejewski of Webster; her only niece, Deborah Shannon of Woodstock, CT; a dear neighbor, Gladys Dowgiewicz; and her Floridians, Dot Dutram and Joseph Pokraka.
She was born in Webster, daughter of Thaddeus and Cecile (St. Germain) Kuszewski and was a lifelong resident.
Mrs. Ducharme was the Financial Aid Director at Nichols College in Dudley and then at Becker College in Worcester. She retired in 1993.
She was a member of Saint Louis Church. She belonged to the National and Mass. Associations of Financial Aid. She enjoyed golfing, a sport she took up after retiring in 1993. She was a beautiful seamstress and quilter. She also designed needlepoint pictures.
The funeral will be held on Thursday, November 3, at 11:00 A.M. in Saint Louis Church, 14 Lake Street (please meet at the church). Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Dudley. There are no calling hours. Memorial donations may be made to Saint Louis Endowment Fund, Inc., 15 Lake Street, Webster, MA 01570. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Scanlon Funeral Service, 38 East Main Street.
