Funeral services for Mr. Tim Farmer, 56, of Rebecca, GA will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday at October 31, 2016 at The Amboy Baptist Church. Mr. Farmer passed away Thursday at his residence following an extended illness. Interment will follow in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Ashburn.
The son of the late David Talmadge Farmer and Dorothy Ward Farmer he was born in Turner County. He was manager of South GA Diesel. He was an active member of The Amboy Baptist Church and was a professional drummer with the original Gospel Express of Sycamore. He was also an avid bass fisherman. Survivors in addition to his mother include his wife, Loraine Smith Farmer of Rebecca; his son, Joseph (Toni) Farmer of Fitzgerald; his daughter, Desiree (Willie) McCoy of Rebecca; a brother, Kim Farmer of Cordele and a sister Michelle (Glen “Elmo” Pitts of Sycamore. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Chloe Farmer, Trustin McCoy, Grayson McCoy and was looking forward to the arrival of his newest granddaughter in March of 2017. Also surviving is his sister in law, Janny Barnes of Dublin and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Monday morning from 10:00 AM until the hour of services at The Amboy Baptist Church in Turner County. | ||||
