Obituary

SPENCER: Margaret A."Peggy" (Muir) Collette 92, of Howe Village, died Monday, Oct. 10th. at Quaboag Rehab & Skilled Care Center in W.Brookfield.
She was the wife of Raymond Goodwin who died in 1990, her first husband Robert D. Collette died in 1982. She leaves her son Gary R. Collette and his wife Rhonda of Brookfield, two daughters Susan A. Doktor and her husband Roland of Brookfield and Denise M. Brooks and her husband Keith of Calif., five grandchildren Jason Fairbrother and his wife Priscilla of Brookfield, Crystal Collette and her fiance Daniel Rocker of Port Leyden, NY., Elizabeth Dubois and her husband Jason of Charlton, Darryl Collette of Bolder, Col., and Nathan Fairbrother and his wife Melissa of Hubbardston, three great grandchildren Savannah & Shane Dubois and Juliette Fairbrother, nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by a grandson Mark J. Fairbrother in 1991, and two brothers Louis & William Muir and a sister Alice Wickham.
Born in Worcester, she was the daughter of James T. and Georgianna L. (Provost) Muir.
Peggy was a machine operator at Dienes Corp. in Spencer for 11 years, retiring in 1989. Previously, she was a longtime employee of the former Klevin Shoe Co. of Spencer & No.Brookfield. She was a member of Mary,Queen of the Rosary Parish where she served and volunteered on many committees. She was a member of the Spencer Golden Age Club and participated in many of their trips.
A 19 year resident of Howe Village, she volunteered for the Meals on Wheels Program and enjoyed playing bingo. She was an avid bird watcher.
The family would like to thank the kind staff at Howe Village especially Executive Dir. Charlene, Kim and Donna as well as the maintenance staff who were so kind to her over the years. Also, the caring staff at Quaboag Rehab and Overlook Hospice.
Her funeral will be held on Saturday, Oct. 15 from the J.HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr., Spencer with a Mass at 11 a.m. in Our Lady of the Rosary Church, 7 Church St., Spencer. Burial will follow in Mary, Queen of the Rosary Cemetery, Spencer. A calling hour will precede the service on Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home.
