Rita A. Phaneuf, 87, of Worcester, passed away Thursday, September 29th in the Worcester Rehabilitation Center. She leaves a brother, Roger M.T. Phaneuf of Worcester; two sisters, Cecile Burnett and Anne Wray, both of Worcester; and several nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by two brothers and two sisters, John and Paul Phaneuf, Jean Biscardi, and Annette Phaneuf.
She was born in Worcester, the daughter of Joseph and Laura (Favreau) Phaneuf and graduated from Holy Name HIgh School. Rita was a secretary at the W.M. Steel Company for many years.
Her graveside service will be held at Tuesday, October 11th 11:00 A.M. in St. Cecilia's Cemetery, Florence Street, Leominster. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Cecilia's Parish Memorial Fund, 170 Mechanic Street, Leominster, MA 01453. O'CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, is assisting with arrangements.
