Obituary



Worcester – Gary Dixon, 61, of Worcester, died on Friday, September 23rd at home after a long illness.

Gary was born in Burlington, VT son of the late Jerome and Lorraine (Lavallee) Dixon. He is survived by his 2 brothers, Jeff Dixon and his wife, Sandra of Oakham and Randy Dixon and his wife, Susan of Worcester; 2 nieces, Melissa Dixon of Worcester and Danielle Lambert and her husband Mark of Worcester and many great nieces and nephews.

Mr. Dixon graduated from the David Hale Fanning Trade School and worked in the restaurant industry his entire life. He was the manager for many years at the former Howard Johnsons on Lincoln St. in Worcester and later worked at the Piccadily Pub and most recently at Tatnuck Grille.

Gary was a fun loving man, who enjoyed fishing, going to the ocean, attending both flea markets and yard sales and he especially loved cooking. Mr. Dixon had great affection for his 2 dogs, Tyler and Peanut.

Private funeral services will be held at a later date and Gary will be interred in Saint John’s Mausoleum. Memorial contributions in memory of Gary, may be made to the Salmon VNA & Hospice Program 37 Birch Street Milford, MA 01757.
