Grovetown, GA- Mrs. Eunice Lewis Newman, 92, beloved wife of the late Louis Lofton Newman entered into rest on September 17, 2016 at Westwood Extended Care.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 19, 2016 at 2:30pm at Greater Augusta Apostolic Church with the Rev. Terry Newsome officiating. Burial will follow at Bellevue Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Newman was a founding member of the Greater Augusta Apostolic Church, and remained very active in the church. She had retired from the VA Hospital, where she was a statistical clerk, after twenty years of service.
Survivors include, one son, L. Ralph Newman and his wife Joyce of Evans, one daughter, Elizabeth Newman Claxton and her husband Zack of Grovetown, her sisters, Martha Story and Helen Crawford, her brother, Billy Lewis, six grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, September 18, 2016 from 5:00pm until 7:00pm at the funeral home.
