WORCESTER-Barbara A. (Lee) Reidy, 93, died on Saturday, September 3rd at Notre Dame Long Term Care Center. Her husband of 54 years, Robert C. Reidy died in 2004. She leaves her daughter, Eunice Anne Bustretsky and her husband Robert of Sunnyvale, CA; three sons, Christopher R. Reidy and his wife Deborah of Shrewsbury, Joseph P. Reidy and his wife Shelley of Westminster and Rev. Richard F. Reidy of Worcester and many nieces and nephews. Barbara was also predeceased by her brother, John W. Lee.
She was born in Cambridge the daughter of John W. and Anna M. (McBride) Lee and graduated from the Bromfield School in Harvard. She also attended the New England Conservatory of Music. Barbara worked at the Telephone Company and later as a stewardess for Northeast Airlines before marrying her husband Robert and starting a family. She also volunteered with the USO. Mrs. Reidy was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, the Guild of Our Lady of Providence, Friday afternoon Club, Third Order of Saint Augustine at Assumption College and Worcester Country Club.
Visiting hours for Mrs. Reidy will be held on Wednesday, September 7th from 4:00 until 7:00 pm at CALLAHAN FAY & CASWELL Funeral Home, 61 Myrtle St. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, September 8th at 10:00 am at Immaculate Conception Church, 353 Grove St. Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in her memory may be made to Immaculate Conception Church, 353 Grove St., Worcester, MA 01605 or Notre Dame Long Term Care Center, 559 Plantation St., Worcester, MA 01605.
