Obituary

WEST BOYLSTON-Richard A. Peeso, 76, of West Boylston passed away Thursday, August 11 in the Rose Monahan Hospice House.
He leaves his wife of 52 years, Joanne M. (Molinari) Peeso; a sister, Sharon Smith of Sterling; a sister-in-law, Jeanne Peeso of Northboro; cousins, and many nieces and nephews. Dick's brothers, Robert A. Peeso and William G. Peeso and a brother-in-law, Phillip Smith predeceased him. He was born in Fitchburg, son of Elmer W. and Sylvia M. (Ovaska) Peeso and graduated from Wachusett Regional High School and Becker Junior College and served in the Massachusetts Army Reserve for six years.
Dick worked at S+S Market in West Boylston before retiring, prior to that he worked 10 years at Shaw’s Supermarket in Leominster and 30 years as a supervisor at Simond’s International Cutting Tools in Fitchburg. He was a member of the First Church of Sterling, the Harold N. Keith American Legion Post and a member and greeter with the Greendale Retired Men’s Club. Dick loved traveling, playing golf, cooking and gardening.
The Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, August 17 at 11AM in the First Church in Sterling, 6 Meetinghouse Hill Rd. Burial will be in Mount Vernon Cemetery. Visiting Hours are Tuesday, August 16 from 4to 7PM in FAY BROTHERS Funeral Home, 1 West Boylston St. Dick was a great animal lover, the family ask that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Neady Cats, PO Box 213, West Boylston, 01583.
