Obituary

Evans – Mrs. Jane Wells McLean, beloved wife of the late William “Bill” McLean, entered her Heavenly home on Thursday, August 11, 2016, surrounded by her loving family.
A private family service will be held on Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at Platt’s Belair Road Chapel with the Rev. Dr. J. Andrew Menger officiating. There will be a private burial in Douglas, Georgia.
Mrs. McLean was a caring wife and mother, who loved her family dearly. She adored her children, instilling in them the virtues of graciousness, compassion and courage through her impeccable example.
She suffered throughout much of her adult life from a debilitating, painful condition, whose burden she bore without complaint, always maintaining a cheerful disposition and a positive attitude. Her passing has left a powerful void in the lives of her surviving family, who take consolation in the knowledge that she is now celebrating her new life with those of her loved ones who have preceded her to her new home.
She is survived by her sons, William Y. McLean Jr. and Jonathan W. McLean, her daughter and son-in-law, Mandy and Mike Foster, her grandchildren, Vivian J. Smith, William H. McLean, Brittany M. McLean, Jonathan McLean Jr., Brandon McLean and Amanda “Maggie” Foster, as well as her great grandchildren; Sage and Oona Smith.
The family would like to thank her caregivers, Glenda Keough, Suzette Hunt, and Joy Spires, who she loved dearly. There are no words to express our gratitude for the love and attention shown to Mrs. McLean.
If so desired, memorial contributions may be made to benefit research for rheumatoid arthritis at www.arthritis.org or to the American Stroke Foundation at www.americanstroke.org.
