Obituary



Worcester – Marion J. (Nevers) Willett, 78, of Worcester, died in her home on Thursday, August 4th with her family by her side.

Marion is survived by her husband of 61 years, Joseph F.R. Willett; two sons, John J. Willett and his wife, Kim of Auburn and David W. Willett and his wife, Cynthia of Palm Coast, FL; a daughter, Theresa M. Paige of Webster; 16 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren and many brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Willett was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Frank W. Nevers and Mary B. (Hammond) Snyder and is also predeceased by two sons, Paul F. Willett and Robert A. Willett. She was raised in Leicester and graduated from Leicester High School.

Marion worked for many years as a crossing guard at the Lakeview Elementary School in Worcester and then went to work as an assembler for Tuscarora Plastics where she retired from in 2003.

Marion was a faithful parishioner of St. Stephen’s Church where she regularly attended mass with her husband. Mrs. Willett enjoyed doing puzzles and watching game shows but was the happiest when she was spending time with all of her grandchildren.

A funeral to celebrate her life will be held on Wednesday, August 10th from the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home 12 Hammond St. with a mass at 10 AM in St. Stephen’s Church 357 Grafton St. with burial to follow in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, August 9th from 5 to 8 PM in the funeral home.
