WORCESTER - Mrs. Margaret Ann (Lomartire) Capozzo, 94, passed away Tuesday July 12th at Beaumont @ University Campus with her family by her side.
Margie was born July 26, 1921 in Worcester, Massachusetts a daughter of the late Antonio and Maria (Saracina) Lomartire. Loving wife to the late Anthony J. Capozzo who she lost in 1988.
A lifelong resident of Worcester, Margie was educated through the Worcester schools. She worked as a seamstress during World War II helping in the war effort.
Margie enjoyed cooking, baking, being with her children and enjoying her grandchildren. Her friends and family will truly miss her cooking, those wonderful Italian cookies and the need to drum up a card game whenever possible. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of Loreto Church in Worcester.
She is survived by her two sons, Anthony Capozzo of Worcester, Michael Capozzo of Boylston; three grandchildren, Melissa, Matthew, and Jaclyn Capozzo.
Margie was pre-deceased by her siblings, Ned “Cosmo”Lomartire, Albert Lomartire, Ann McGrath , Viola Ciccone.
Her funeral will be held on Saturday, July 16th from FAZIO FUNERAL HOME, 9 Branch St in Worcester. A funeral mass will follow at 10:00a.m. at Our Lady of Loreto Church.
