Worcester – Charles G. Lucia Jr., 78, of Worcester, died on Sunday, July 10th in the Holy Trinity Nursing & Rehabilitation Center after a long illness.
Mr. Lucia is survived by his son, Robert Lucia of Plainville, CT; 4 sisters, Anne Marie Gavin of Worcester, Florence Martin of Florida, Theresa Melanson of California and Rose Marie Posch of New Jersey; a brother, Kenneth Lucia of Worcester and many nephews and nieces.
Charlie was born in Worcester son of the late Charles G. Lucia Sr. and Gertrude (St. Martin) Lucia and is also predeceased by his wife Joanne Lucia who died in 2008 and 4 brothers, Raymond, Paul, Edward and Roland Lucia.
Mr. Lucia is a veteran of the United States Navy and worked for 27 years as an inspector at the General Motors Company. Charlie also worked for many years for the Massachusetts State Police.
A calling hour will be held on Wednesday, July 13th from 11 to 12 noon in the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home 12 Hammond St. with a funeral service to follow at 12:30 in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.
