Obituary

CHARLTON - Hugh J. Bustin Jr., a former resident of Holliston for 53 years, passed away June 20 after a brief illness. He was 92.

Mr. Bustin, born in Waltham on Jan. 26, 1924, to Hugh J. Bustin, Sr. and Lillian (Rafuse) Bustin. He grew up in Wayland and Cochituate, and played baseball for Wayland High School and the Cochituate town team.

Mr. Bustin was married for 65 years to the late Betty Belle (Coggins) Bustin, former Holliston treasurer and tax collector. They lived in Framingham until 1958, when they moved to Holliston. In the 1990's they began wintering in Mississippi, to be near family. After his beloved wife passed away, he moved out to the Overlook Masonic Home in Charlton.

Mr. Bustin worked as milk delivery man for Echo Farms in Framingham and H.P. Hood and Son in Natick until 1975, when he went to work for the Shawmut Community Bank until his retirement in 1989.

Mr. Bustin was active in Holliston Little League in the 1960s.

He is survived by a daughter, Sandee Corbett of Shrewsbury, and a son, Craig, of Centereach, N.Y. Mr. Bustin was preceded in death by two brothers, Malcolm of Kennebunk, Maine, and Lloyd of West Covina, Calif.

There will be a memorial service for Mr. Bustin on Saturday, July 9, at 11:00 am. in the chapel at the Overlook Masonic Home. 88 Masonic Home Rd., Charlton, MA
