Gene Winn, 83, passed away on his birthday, Tuesday, June 28, 2016.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, July 2, 2016 at Platt’s Funeral Home Belair Rd. Chapel with Dr. Stephen Allen officiating. Burial will follow at Pineview Memorial Gardens.
Gene was born in Norfolk, VA and was a graduate of Southeastern University in Lakeland, FL with a degree in Theology. He enjoyed playing golf, fishing, birdwatching, and reading. Gene loved spending time with his family.
Survivors include his loving wife, Lillian M. Winn, four sons; Donald Winn (Bridget), Robert Winn (Tracie), Steven Smith (Nancy), Phillip Smith (Mary), daughter; Amanda Allen (Stephen), 14 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren. Gene was preceded in death by his first wife; Buni Winn; and daughter; Janet Kee.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Friday, July 1, 2016 at the funeral home.
