CHERRY VALLEY: Joseph D. Daly, 34, died on Friday, June 17, 2016 after struggling with a life long illness. He leaves his brother, Christopher P. Daly and his fiancée Laurie Stafinski of Rochdale; three uncles, Patrick Daly and his wife Bernette, his godfather, John Daly and Daniel Daly; three aunts, Helen LaRose, his godmother, Rosemary LeFrancois and her husband Joseph, and Kathleen Daly; his cousins, Thomas Daly and his wife Ashley, Patrick Daly and his wife Denise, Robert Daly, Joshua Wadden, Daniel Daly, Michael Daly-LaRose and his wife Tiffany, Elizabeth LaRose and Kathleen LaRose; two nephews whom Joey adored, Thomas and Colin Daly. He also leaves life-long friends Shawn Leith, Robert Carlson, Bridget Worthen-Breault, Daniel (Boone) Johnston, Patrick O'Brien and many, many others.
His mother, Kathleen R. Daly, his grandparents, Patrick J. and Helen B. (Donohue) Daly, an uncle, Thomas Daly, an aunt and uncle, Frederick and Johannah (Daly) Wadden, and an aunt, Catherine Daly, all predeceased him.
Joey was born in Worcester, raised in Cherry Valley and was a graduate of Leicester High School and the Rob Roy Academy in Worcester. He had worked at Daly Tax Service in Worcester. He will be remembered as a loving brother, nephew, cousin, uncle and friend. He enjoyed fishing, drawing and spending time with his family.
After cremation, A MEMORIAL MASS with Joe’s Ashes will be held at 1 P.M. on THURSDAY, JUNE 23, at ST. JOSEPH-ST. PIUS X CHURCH, 1161 Main St., in Leicester, immediately followed by burial at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Leicester. After the burial, family and friends will gather at the Cherry Valley American Legion Post No. 443 at 167 Main Street for a Celebration of Joey’s Life.
