George P. Hultgren, born August 28, 1942, died on May 31st at home, surrounded by family. He was the elder son of the late Roy S. and Dorys C. (Rousseau) Hultgren. His first wife, Suzanne (Marshall) Hultgren died in 1967, He leaves his wife of 46 years Fay (Cygielnik) Hultgren; a son Jon M. Hultgren and his son, Dustin of Phoenix, Arizona; daughter Jennifer Vicario of Shrewsbury; daughter Pamela Wood and her husband Vinnie of Dudley; grandson Joshua Bousquet and his great grandson Jak Bousquet of Charlton; his sister Linda Mellor and her husband Robert of Chandler, Arizona; his brother Kurt S. Hultgren and his wife Martha Deering of Shrewsbury; nieces, nephews, in-laws, and lifetime friends.
During his life, George served as a Facilities Director for a number of area hospitals. He was a proud member of AA for many years. He enjoyed buying and restoring antiques and took pleasure in woodworking projects. He cherished the memories of teaching his children to dig clams on Cape Cod and spending time in Maine with his wife and best friend, Fay.

There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Beacon Hospice, 36 Williams St, Leominster, MA 01453. A memorial service will be held at the First Congregational Church, 14 Church Road, Shrewsbury, on Saturday June 4th at 11:00 AM.
