Mary Ellen (O’Connor) Donoghue, 89, of Worcester, died Wednesday, May 4th in Shrewsbury Nursing Center. Her husband, Daniel J. Donoghue, died in 1970. She leaves three nieces, Kelly O’Connor-Allyn and her husband William of Holyoke, Kathleen Cooney and her husband Thomas of Rutland, and Erin Connor and her husband Patrick of Hampton, NH; grandnephews and grandnieces, Erin and Thomas Cooney, Conor Allyn, and Emma, Molly, and Patrick Connor of Hampton, NH. She was predeceased by her brother, James A. O’Connor.
She was born in Worcester, the daughter of James and Catherine (Mulhern) O’Connor and lived here all her life. Mrs. Donoghue worked as a recorder for Worcester City Hospital for many years.
Her services will be private. O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, is assisting with arrangements.
