Dennis R. Puchtler, age 69 of Methuen, MA, died Tuesday at the Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston, MA, following a courageous fight with pulmonary fibrosis.
He was born in Lawrence, MA, son of the late Emil and Elizabeth Puchtler. He grew up and was educated in Methuen, MA and has been a resident for the past 60 years.
Dennis was a pipe fitter for Raytheon in Andover, MA, having retired in 2013 after 39 years of service. He was a member of the John Hancock Masonic Lodge in Methuen, MA and a member of the NRA. Dennis had a passion for golf and enjoyed golfing on a variety of local and out of state courses. He also like to spend time deep sea fishing and riding his motorcycle. He most enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his children and grandchildren, and was a loving son who cared for his mother until her passing last year at the age of 104.
He is survived by his children: Timothy and his wife Joan Puchtler of Sunapee, NH, Wendy and her husband Michael Tomaselli of Salem, NH, and Christine Puchtler of Cass City, MI; his brother: Daniel Puchtler of Texas; Grandchildren: Chastity Monticelli, Chantal, Krystal, John and Molly Puchtler, Cameron and Cassandra Lira, John-Michael and Kaitlyn Tomaselli; Great Grandchildren: Alexandra, Austin, Michael, Owen, and Kieran; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Memorial visiting hours will be Sunday, March 20th from 1-4 p.m., followed by a memorial service at 4 p.m., at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence Street, Methuen.
