Cynthia L. Michaud-Fitch, 62, of Vail, AZ, died suddenly on Sunday March 6, 2016. She was the beloved wife of Dayton Fitch, loving mother of Jason and Keith Lizotte, and proud daughter of the late Commander J. Alexander and Dorothy Michaud. Cynthia was born and raised in Salem and lived in Beverly for several years before moving to Arizona nine years ago.
Cynthia was a graduate of Beverly High School. She worked at Michaud Bus Lines of Salem, MA for many years and more recently as the Head of Transportation at the Beverly Council on Aging. Cynthia loved her family and bringing joy and laughter to others. Her infectious laugh could always be heard several rooms away at any family gathering. She loved her long rides with her husband enjoying the beautiful sunshine and scenery of the desert and vacationing in Sedona. But most of all she loved “her boys”; she was so proud of them and their accomplishments. She adored her grandchildren and eagerly looked forward to her Facetime chats with them.
Cynthia’s legacy is one of love, a genuine smile, and friendship.
Cynthia is survived by her husband Dayton Fitch of Vail, AZ. She is also survived by her two sons: Jason A Lizotte and his wife Lauralee of Haverhill, and Keith R Lizotte and his fiancée Maggie January of Salisbury. She is also survived by seven grandchildren. She is the sister of Jay Michaud and his wife Susan of Marblehead, J.R. Spike Michaud and his wife Mary of Seabrook, NH, B.P. Biff Michaud and his partner Helena Walter of Marblehead, Gale Bierman and her husband Mike of Bermuda, B.K. Gig Michaud and his wife Gia Page of Rowley, Joy Michaud and her husband Paul Wing of Newbury and Eric Michaud of Danvers. She also leaves behind many loving nieces and nephews, extended family, and several old and new friends.
Visiting hours will be at the Levesque Funeral Home, 163 Lafayette St., [Route 114 / 1-A] Salem on Wednesday, March 16th from 4 to 8 pm.
