Obituary

WEBSTER – Shirley (Cohen) Baker, 91, formerly of Webster, died Tuesday, December 30, 2014 in Worcester Rehabilitation & Nursing Center with family at her side. Her husband, David King Baker, died in 1989.
She leaves a son, Robert Russell Boucher and his wife Karen of Cranston, RI; a daughter, Sheila Jeannette Kusek and her husband Anthony of Dudley; and 3 grandchildren, Nicole C. Boucher, Matthew J. Kusek and Stephanie M. Kusek.
She was born and raised in New York City, NY, the daughter of Charles and Helen (Monzak) Cohen. She lived in Newark, NJ from 1965 to 1977 when she moved to Webster. She had lived in Worcester since 2008.
Mrs. Baker was a housekeeper at Life Skills Rehabilitation Center on Morris Street. She then worked for the Green Thumb Federal Agency as a secretary at the Webster Veteran Agent’s Office.
She was a member of the Church of the Reconciliation where she served as a greeter. She also volunteered at the Shared Blessing Kitchen for several years. She enjoyed crafts. Her greatest pleasure was spending time with her grandchildren.
Calling hours will be from 3:00 to 5:00 Sunday, January 4, in the Sitkowski & Malboeuf Funeral Home, 340 School Street, with a service at 4:00 PM during the calling hours. Burial will be private in Mount Zion Cemetery. Donations in her name may be made to Church of the Reconciliation Food Pantry, 5 North Main St., Webster, MA 01570.
