Obituary

Patricia C. ’Trisha’ Papetsas, 84, a life-long resident of Provincetown, died peacefully at home on December 2, 2014 after a lengthy illness. She was compassionately cared for by her eldest son Brock.

The daughter of William “Bill” Cabral and Mary “Mamie” Taves Cabral, she was a graduate of Provincetown High School. Patricia was formally married to the late Jack Papetsas with whom they had two sons, Brock and Thadd.

Patricia owned property in the west end of town for over 50 years and managed the rental operation for many of those years. She prided herself in hard work. Starting as a young teenager, Trisha was best known for ticket sales and as the one who organized and set up reservations for her father’s deep sea fishing business. She later worked with her brother Bobby and nephew, Vaughn, in the CeeJay Corp and Y & C sightseeing tours.

Patricia very much enjoyed spending her time at home and was very talented in the fine arts, especially knitting and crocheting.

Patricia is survived by her two sons Brock Papetsas, Thadd Papetsas and daughter-in-law Julie, of as well as her two grandchildren Julianne and Dimitri, all of Provincetown. Her brother Robert “Bobby” Cabral of Provincetown, and many nieces and nephews also survive her.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 9th in St Peter the Apostle Church, Prince Street, Provincetown. Burial will follow in St. Peters Cemetery. Visiting Hours at Gately Funeral Home, Harry Kemp Way and Howland Street, Provincetown will be Monday, December 8th from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
