Ronnie J. Stanton, Sr., 69 years, of Brockton died Tuesday June 4, 2013 at the VA Medical Center in Brockton surrounded by his family. He was born, raised and educated in Muskegon, Michigan and settled in Brockton 41 years ago. He served in the Navy during the Vietnam Era and had been an independent truck driver. Ronnie had also attended Fisher Jr. College.
He is survived by his wife Judith ( Locigno) Stanton; two sons Ronnie J. Jr. of Carver and Scott A. of Plymouth; a daughter Vicki (Stanton) Zammito and her husband Charles of Norwood; eight grandchildren Brian Boyce, Amy, Joshua , Alexis, Alyssa and Ronnie Stanton, Ashley and Jessica Zammito and a great granddaughter Belle Sampson.
Visiting hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Saturday June 8, from 11am to 2pm immediately followed by a funeral service with military honors. The family would prefer donations be made in memory of Ronnie to the Children’s Hospital, 401 Park Drive, Suite 602, Boston, MA 02215.
