GOODEARL, Arthur F. Sr. of Winthrop, May 22, 2013, at the age of 95. Beloved husband of 65 years to the late Helen C. (Farrell) Goodearl. Devoted father of Nancy J. Goodearl of Winthrop, Barbara G. Simione and her husband Nick of Reading, and Arthur F. Goodearl Jr. and his wife Mary of Kent, CT. Adored grandfather of Stephanie, Stacy, and Nicholas Simione and Tom, Jenna, and David Goodearl. Cherished great-grandfather of Catherine and Emma. Dear brother of the late Alfred Goodearl, Doris Cayon and Beatrice Foynes. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be held at the Maurice W. Kirby Funeral Home 210 Winthrop St. WINTHROP, on Sat, only, beginning at 9am. A Funeral Mass will follow in St. John the Evangelist Church-Winthrop at 11:30am. Relatives and friends are invited. Interment will be in Winthrop Cemetery. He was a member of the Cottage Park Yacht Club and the Men’s Bowling League, Knights of Columbus-Winthrop Council #162, was former Chairman of the Winthrop Board of Appeals, Past Town Meeting Member for Winthrop, the Holy Name Society, and was active in St. John the Evangelist Church.
