Blanche C. (Savage) Ghiringhelli, 99, of Hopedale died Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at the Blaire House of Milford. She was the beloved wife of 76 years to John C. Ghiringhelli who died in 2011.
Born in Cambridge on January 1, 1914, she was a daughter of the late Longin and Caroline (Lubinski) Savage.
Mrs. Ghiringhelli was a longtime resident of Hopedale and was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church.
She loved her home and especially enjoyed cooking, knitting, crocheting, playing cards and babysitting her grandchildren.
Mrs. Ghiringhelli is survived by two sons, Charles Ghiringhelli and his wife Mona of Franklin and John Ghiringhelli and his wife Frances of Bethlehem, PA.
She is also survived by four grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Ghiringhelli was predeceased by five brothers Joseph, John, Peter, Bill and Walter Savage and five sisters, Frieda Bickford, Elsie Szymanski, Pauline Ford, Geneva Cirioni and Evelyn Farrar.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Saturday, January 26 from 10:30 – 11:30 a.m. in the Ginley Crowley Funeral Home 3 Barber Street in Medway (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) followed by a funeral Mass at Sacred Heart Church in Hopedale at Noon.
Burial will follow at Hopedale Village Cemetery.
