William H. Curran age 81 formerly of Canton, of Framingham passed away December 31st at Riverbend in South Natick. Born in Norwood, he was raised in Canton and graduated from Boston College High School and St. Johns’ Seminary. He was a Catholic Priest in the Arch Diocese of Boston from 1957 to 1981 serving in Hyde Park, St. Kevin’s in Dorchester and St. Patrick’s in Natick. After retiring from the priesthood he worked as the Home Manager for the Deaf Community Center in Natick for many years. He loved Jazz music and was an avid fan of all the Boston Sports teams. Beloved father of Darci L. Curran & her husband Michael Mayzer of Wayland. Grandfather of Christian Curran of Wayland. Brother of Capt. Robert W. Curran, Ret. USN & his wife Joanne of VA, Paul J. Curran of Canton, Anne M. Gauthier & her husband Robert of N. Andover & the late James Curran. Brother in law of Dorothy Curran of Canton. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Visiting hours at the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home 455 Washington St. Canton Friday 4-8 pm. Funeral mass at St. John the Evangelist Church Canton Saturday morning at 10:30. Interment St. Mary’s Cemetery, Canton. Donations may be made in his memory to the Learning Center for the Deaf 848 Central St. Framingham, MA 01701.
