Obituary

Arleigh W. Proctor, of Buzzards Bay formerly of Brighton, died on December 21st at his daughter’s house in Brighton at the age of 86. The beloved husband of the late Felicia (Wienczek), he is survived by his children: Florence Hantavis and her husband George of Norton, Robert Proctor of Bourne, Marianne Proctor and her spouse Marilyn Glasser of NY: Dolores Proctor of Salisbury, Phyllis Proctor of Charlestown, Eleanor Laffey and her husband Donald of Brighton, Glenn Proctor of Bourne, Nancy O’Brien and her husband Michael of Norton and Mark Proctor of Fitchburg. He also leaves his brothers Thomas Proctor of FL and James Proctor of IA; 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He was the father of the late Steven Proctor and brother of the late John Proctor and Carol Hasty. Arleigh served in the U.S Navy during WWII and was a member of the VFW and the Knights of Columbus. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday December 26th at the Richard Davis Funeral Home, 619 State Rd (Rt 3A), Plymouth (Manomet) from 4 to 8 PM. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 27th at 10 AM at the funeral home followed by burial at the National Cemetery in Bourne. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Fisher House Boston, P.O. Box 230, S. Walpole, MA 02071.
