Mary Pearl Green McCullough
Mary Pearl Green McCullough, age 77, died on Thursday, November 8, 2012 at her home in Paris, MS. She was born in 1935 in Water Valley, MS to the late R. S. and Christine Boydston Green. Mary Pearl was an excellent athlete and played basketball at Camp Ground High School where she was named Valedictorian of her graduating class. She retired with over 25 years of service from the Department of Rehabilitation Services and was a faithful member of Paris Baptist Church for many years. Mary Pearl dearly loved her children and grandchildren and spent her life taking care of others and sharing her love of Christ in her daily walk.
Visitation will be Friday, November 9, 2012 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Seven Oaks Funeral Home in Water Valley, MS. Funeral services will be Saturday, November 10, 2012 at 10:00 AM in the Henry Chapel of Seven Oaks with Bro. Gerald Shook officiating. Burial will be in the Paris Cemetery in Paris, MS with Luke McCullough, Walt McCullough, Josh Mills, Dean Cummings, Brent Rushing, Chase McCullough, Andy Paul, and Henry Cummings serving as pallbearers.
Mary Pearl is survived by her husband, Charles W. McCullough of Paris, MS; one daughter, Tina Mills of Paris, MS; four sons, Brooks McCullough of Paris, MS, Charles McCullough (Suzanne) of Water Valley, MS, Robert McCullough (Linda) of Paris, MS and Sidney McCullough (Dawn) of Batesville, MS; one sister, Hazel Johnson of Water Valley, MS; two brothers, Lewis Green (Louise) of Water Valley, MS and Jimmy Green (Charlene) of Cookeville, TN; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Ricky McCullough and her sister, Peggy Cummings.
