Betty Dee Melton Obituary - Water Valley MS

Betty Dee Melton, age 85, died Saturday, September 22, 2012 at her home in Water Valley, MS. She was born November 11, 1926 in Panola County, MS to the late Curtis David and Clyde Hollinger Kehoe. Prior to moving to Water Valley, Betty lived in Red Oak, TX. She was a homemaker, a Baptist and she loved her family and friends.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, September 26, 2012 from 10:00 AM to 11:00
AM at Seven Oaks Funeral Home in Water Valley, MS. Funeral Services will follow the visitation on Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at 11:00 AM in the Henry Chapel of Seven Oaks with Bro. Fletcher Mooreman and Bro. Phillip Cook officiating. Burial will be in the Delay Baptist Church Cemetery in Water Valley, MS with Steve Shuffield, Henry Dale Fly, Floyd Naramore, Richard Miles, James Hollinger, Jr., Jerry Melton, Michael Fonte and Mike Craven serving as pallbearers.

Betty is survived by her son, Ricky Melton (Helen) of Gatesville, TX; one sister, Hattie Mae Matthis of Water Valley, MS; three brothers, Ben Horan (Lou), Earl Kehoe (Ruby) and Dewitt Kehoe (Louise) all of Water Valley, MS; sixteen grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Melton; five children, Steve Melton, JoAnn Jordon, Betty Frances Taylor, Jerry Melton, and Louise Franks.
