Batalian, Chenorik ,age 73 of Watertown passed away , Sept. 5, 2012. Beloved wife of Khatchadour Batalian. Devoted mother of Sona Chookoorian and Taleen Batalian. Loving grandmother of Armen and Ara Chookoorian. Sister of Armine Chbeir, Vartan Davidian and Sylva Ghazarian. She was also the mother of Raffi Batalian. Chenorik lived in Beirut, Lebanon until 1969 at which time she came to the United States and settled in Watertown. She became an active member of Saint Stephen’s Armenian Apostolic Church, the lady’s guild and the Armenian Red Cross. She was a wonderful cook and baker and she and her husband owned and operated a camera shop for 34 years. Funeral service at Saint Stephen’s Armenian Church, 38 Elton Avenue, Watertown on Monday, Sept. 10 at 11:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. At the request of the family, there are no visiting hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Saint Stephen’s Armenian Church.Interment at Newton Cemetery, Newton.
