Edward J. Palmieri, Jr., a resident of Andover, formerly of Londonderry, NH and Hampton, NH, died in Andover on August 23, 2012, after a long battle with a rare brain disease. He was 59 years old.
Edward “Ted” was born in Utica, NY and was the beloved son of Harriet (Gaffny) Palmieri and the late Edward J. Palmieri. Ted worked for a number of HVAC and control companies in various capacities including Vice President for Operations, Territory Manager and Sales Manager. He was last employed by BCM Controls of Woburn. Ted was a graduate of Andover High School and Tufts University.
Ted loved sports and was an active participant, he enjoyed coaching his children in soccer and baseball.
In addition to his loving Mother, Harriet, Ted will be sorely missed by his daughter Amy R. Palmieri of NY, NY, his son, Christopher J. Palmieri of Somerville, MA, siblings; James J. Palmieri and his wife Patricia Heibel of Menomonee Falls, WI, Ann L. Palmieri of Andover, and Elaine P. Cook and her husband Frederick A. Cook, Jr., of Port Washington, NY and nephews; Frederick A. Cook, III and Thomas H. Cook of Port Washington, NY and James E. Cook of Grand Rapids, MI and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
A Mass of Celebration of Ted’s life was held on Saturday, September 8, 2012, at 10:00 AM in St. Augustine’s Church, 43 Essex Street, Andover, MA. Burial was private. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Giving/ Financial Aid, Tufts University, Medford, MA 02155 (giving.tufts.edu/givenow).
