James D McCarthy age 56 formerly of Canton, of Orrington, ME passed away July 24th at home surrounded by his loving family after a brief battle with Cancer. Born and raised in Canton, he graduated from Canton High School and lived in Canton until moving to Maine 3 years ago. He was a Truck Driver for several companies and drove throughout the United States. Beloved father of Asa McCarthy of Orrington, ME. Beloved son of Thelma McCarthy of Duxbury and the late Donald McCarthy. Brother of Michelle Turner & her husband George of Duxbury. Uncle of Christopher Turner of Duxbury & Amanda Turner of Pembroke. Visiting hours at the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home 455 Washington St. Canton Tuesday from 4 to 7 pm. The visitation will conclude with a memorial service at 7 pm.
