Christine C. Michalak, 45 of Holden, MA passed away peacefully at her home on February 23, 2012. She is survived by her life companion, Gina Oslowski; her Mother, Gail Latham Smith of Boylston, MA; her father, Richard C. Michalak and wife Karen of Worcester, MA; her Brother Todd Michalak and wife Lori of Boylston, MA; her Brother Josh Michalak of Methuen, MA; and Sister Olivia Michalak of Worcester, MA.
She is also survived by her in-laws, Barbara and Henry Oslowski, of Shrewsbury, MA and Carla Perreault of Hubbardston, MA as well as many Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and Friends. She is also survived by her beloved pets, Buddy, Shadow and Boo Boo. She is predeceased by her dear Grandparents, George and Mabel Latham and Henry and Alicia Michalak.
Christine was born in Worcester, MA and worked for 22 plus years for Verizon, in various positions. Her last position there was as an engineer. She took great pride in her work and was a very dedicated employee. In her free time, Chris was an avid fisherwoman, and loved spending many happy days on Cape Cod with friends and family shell fishing and enjoying life.
Chris had a big heart along with a smile that could light up a room and she always had a twinkle in her eye. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
In honor of Christine, a Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, March 3, 2012 at 11am at the Liberty Assembly of God, 495 Hartford Tpke (Rte 20), Shrewsbury, MA 01545. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Christine’s name to Dana Farber Cancer Institute, 14 Prospect Street, Milford, MA 01757.
