VERO, Marie (nee) Fortunato age 90 of Lewes, DE, formerly of Leonia, NJ died on Monday December 19, 2011.
Beloved wife of the late Nicholas Vero, Sr. Devoted mother of Dr. Nicholas Vero and his wife Donna Vero and Marie Ahearn and her husband Danny Ahearn. Loving grandmother of Dr. Carina Vero Vora and her husband Dr. Setu Vora and Dr. Erica Vero and her husband Dr. Joseph Mathew. Cherished great grandmother of Sachi and Gianni. Marie was a former secretary in Admissions at Columbia University School of Dental and Oral Surgery. A devoted family person, Marie loved to cook, entertain, travel and was an avid gardener for many years. Family and friends are invited to visit Thursday from 4-8 PM at the Volk Leber Funeral Home, 789 Teaneck Road, Teaneck, NJ. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday at 10:00 AM at St. John the Evangelist RC Church in Leonia, NJ. Entombment will follow at Madonna Mausoleum, Fort Lee, NJ.
