Phyllis Anne Register Clements, 63, of Irwinville, Georgia died Monday, November 8, 2010, at her home, 14 months after being diagnosed with Lung Cancer.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Saturday, November 13, 2010, at Big Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Wayne McCrimmon, Rev. Harris Johnson and Rev. Brent Duncan officiating. Interment will follow at the Clements Family Cemetery formerly known as Ebenezer Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 7-9 at the family home, 124 Reagan Rd.
Memorial services will be announced at a later date to be held at Indian Springs Baptist Church, 5593 Veterans Memorial Dr., Tallahassee, FL, 32309.
Mrs. Clements was born February 18, 1947 in Nashville, Georgia. Mrs. Clements grew up in Tallahassee, Florida and moved to Irwin County in 1995. She graduated from Leon High School in Tallahassee in 1964 and attended North Florida Junior College in Madison, FL. Mrs. Clements was a retired executive assistant for the state of Florida and a legal secretary for Southern Marketing in Fitzgerald for 15 years. She was a member of Big Creek Baptist Church and a member of the Gideons Auxillary.
Mrs. Clements is survived by her husband: Jimmy Lamar Clements of Irwinville; mother: Nina Billingsley of Tallahassee, FL; children: Robert Emmett (Sherry) Clements, Julie C. (Wesley) Latham and Jonathan Lamar (DeAnnia) Clements, all of Irwinville; 4 grandsons: Wesley Scott Latham, Jr., Matthew Robert Clements, Jon Mason Clements and Mark Johnson Clements; brothers: Wayne Billingsley, Richard (Jean) Billingsley and D.E. Billingsley, all of Tallahassee, FL as well as several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Henry F. Billingsley.
