Mr. Charles H. “Doc” Turner, 68, of Mystic, died Monday, April 6 at his residence.
Funeral services will be held 11 A.M. Wednesday, April 8, at Crossview Baptist Church with Rev. Barry Gordon officiating. Interment will follow in the Fletcher Family Cemetery. Visitation will be held 7-9, Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
Mr. Turner was born January 1, 1941 in Coffee County to Hubert Turner and the late Janie Lee Williams Turner. He was a 1961 graduate of Fitzgerald High school. A retired aircraft mechanic, Mr. Turner was a former resident of Sylvester and Fitzgerald. He had a love for collecting model airplanes and Indian artifacts. Mr. Turner was a member of Crossview Baptist Church.
Mr. Turner is survived by his wife, Connie Fletcher Turner, of Mystic; daughters Laura Kay Jones of Irwinville and Charlie Marie Baldree of Chula, GA; 8 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren, father; Hubert Turner of Fitzgerald, and sister; Patsy Sumner of Fitzgerald. Along with his mother he was preceded in death by a daughter Connie Marie Turner.
