A Daddy's Hug, Is a very special place. Its like a safe haven, When I'm in you're warm embrace. I receive a Daddy's Hug, Every time I say hello. You squeeze me real tight, As if too say, I miss you so. A Daddy's Hug, Is one of the greatest gifts upon the earth. You're hugs give me such fulfillment, and the sense of my self worth. A Daddy's Hug, is such a special feeling. Its a moment in time, when I see you're love revealing. A Daddy's Hug, is a feeling I just can't explain, its such a wonderful moment, in which I'd, always like to remain. A Daddy's hug, it may go by slow, or maybe fast. But either way, My Daddy's hug is meant to ever last. A Daddy's hug, is a very special place I like to be. its a mutual feeling, I believe my Daddy would agree. A Daddy, can never ever, hug his children enough Even if they are having good times, or trying to make it though the rough. Daddy's hugs, can be so sad, when its time for good byes. its so hard to walk away, when I can see the tears welling in you're eyes. There is a very special place That Daddy's hugs belong. A very special place where we'll never be apart. Every Daddy's Hug you give, I capture in my heart.

For many years, I've played in the M Street Softball League in South Boston. George was a major presence there, one of the most highly respected individuals to take the field. Always a keen competitor, but also a gentleman. He was my teammate for a short while, but whether on the same team or not, he always greeted me with a big smile (and a handshake as though I was some long-lost friend, though we may have seen each other just a week ago...) I'll certainly miss him at the park. God bless.

Although I never had a chance to really get to know George, he was always kind to me. Whether it was popping by the security office just to see how I was doing, or a simple wave when I would drive by him in the parking lot. Small things like that seem to take a backseat in today's world. Thankfully, they did not for George. My thoughts and prayers go out to you all. I am deeply sorry for your loss.

Derry, NH,
The news of George's passing is shocking. He was a permanent fixture at Charles River, often planted on the hill outside of Building 10, where he could keep his eye on everyone and everything. This gruff man turned into such a gentle soul (i.e. "The Grampy") whenever he spoke of his grandson, Baraka. George absolutely adored him. Laurie, Jenn, Buddy and Emily - there are hundreds of people thinking of you. Fond Regards, Nancy Jean Parker

, MA,
My sincere and deepest condolences to the entire Pratt Family and Lori. May you find solace during this difficult and unexpected time. My dearest friend, I thought that it was going to be difficult to adapt not seeing you around or paying a visit when you retired this past December, but this early physical departure is not going to be an easy one. All i could think is that there must be a blizzard coming to heaven and god needed you so bad, that he could only trust a person like to accomplish the task. Thank you for being my friend, a shoulder to cry and vent when i needed the most, an ear to listen and a father figure to guide me tru the most difficult times and decisions. You are and will always be saddly and deeply missed.

George, Bud, "BN" - you were my best friend. The shock of your passing is indescribable. I'll always remember the good times we shared - our childhood - playing and laughing; both of us in the Army and becoming Military Police..you were my best man and I was yours. We saw each others children be born; all the birthday parties and family gatherings! I so enjoyed having you and Laurie up the lake; going to your softball games...was so hoping to share many more good times in retirement. I could go on and on about how wonderful you were, but want to just say you were my brother - I couldn't have asked for a better one. I love you and respected you and will always keep you in my heart. Rest in Peace! May God Bless you.... Love, Jack

Wellington, Florida,
So long, for now good Buddy. I feel such sadness, but I am blessed to have known this gentle giant of a man for 39 years. The last time I saw him was 5 years ago--when he came to my Moms wake to make sure I was ok. Wasn't that just like George..always there to help others... Jen, Buddy, Emily, Tiny, and family---may the empty ache left in your hearts be filled by the warmth and knowledge that George touched so, so many peoples lives in a special way. A great man, who loved so well...and was so well loved.

2/24/2011 Anne Pratt
Merrimack, NH, USA
First to Buddy - you were larger than life and lived it on your own terms and that was something I always admired about you even when you were aggrivating the crap out of me - lol. To loose you so soon was unfair - there was so much more life to live - but in looking back I see the path you walked and realized you did not leave us with regrets for not having done the things you wanted to do - you DID them. Yours is one to measure a life well-lived and we can take solace in that. Jenn, Buddy, & Emily - my heart aches for your loss but I know your hearts are so full of great memories of your dad and all he meant to you and everyone that ever knew him. Let that sustain you during this difficult time. Bobby, Pat, Jack, DeeDee, & Tiny - he was your rock, the one that you all looked to in times of need - he was a shoulder to cry on, a buddy to rely on, and someone you could admire - you were so blessed. Take comfort in the knowledge that he is still with you in every step you take and whatever life brings in the coming years. With much love to you all and thank you Buddy for everything you gave us - Anne

We were shocked and saddened to hear the news of Buddy's passing. I am glad John had the opportunity to meet Buddy when he went back to Boston with Bobby. Buddy shared alot of funny stories with them. He said Buddy had a great sense of humor. Although it's difficult today to see beyond the sorrow, May looking back in memory help comfort you tomorrow. Rest in peace, Buddy!

My deepest condolences to Georges family,I am fifty two and George inspires me to continue to continue pitching. He was a great competitor and an even greater person. Surely will be missed in person but hold a spot in hearts of many in south boston. SORRY DID NOT ATTEND SERVICES BUT DID NOT FIND OUT TILL DAY OF FUNERAL.

My deepest sympathy to George's family. He was a dear friend that I was looking forward to seeing next week. I always thought that George was made of steel and would out live us all. He died much too young. I always knew that I could call George and no matter what the problem was he'd be there for me. He was that kind of person. I just can't believe that he is gone. He was a very special person and I am grateful that I knew him and that he was my friend. Don

Our deepest condolences to Buddy's family. When I was a kid, my family took a trip to Boston to visit the family. That's when I remember meeting Buddy for the first time. He was this nice, big guy that was very funny. I really liked him. I wish that I would have been able to meet him again. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family.
