Alan (Al) Anthony Knox, 49, Clarksville, died Tuesday, January 12, 2010, at his residence. The funeral will be held at 11 am Friday at Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Chapel with Pastor Kim Smith officiating. Burial will be in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery-West with full military honors. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 pm Thursday and from 10 am until the hour of the service Friday at the funeral home. Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. He was born September 20, 1960 in San Francisco, CA. He was retired from the US Army, 5th Special Forces Group. He served honorably in Iraq and Afghanistan. He was a Field Representative with Blackbird Technology.
He was a loving husband, father, and son. Survivors include his wife Cynthia Brazell Knox, Clarksville; children, Brandon A. Knox and Megan Knox, Clarksville; granddaughter, Lilyan E. Knox; father, Alan D. Knox, Sparks, Nevada; mother, Patricia O'Sullivan Thomas, Sun City West, Arizona; brother, Kevin Knox, California; sister, Lianne Knox, Sparks, Nevada; paternal grandmother, Lillian Knox, California; and in-laws, Robert and Mary Lou Brazell, Fayetteville, North Carolina.
